Autumn Variety Concert - Kensington Chamber Players - Sunday May 17 5pm

 

I shall be performing with Cate Ahrendt and Stephen Langley doing poetry and music as part of this concert.  Venue is 76 McCracken St, Kensington (Melways 42 K2).  Cost from $5 or whatever you can afford.  Light supper provided.  All proceeds to Hotham Asylum Seeker Project.

 

Emerging Writers' Festival

22 - 31 May 2009

I am part of EWF again this year.  On 24th May I am part of Speakers Corner - poets on soapboxes in atrium of Fed Square from 12 -4.   On 31 May at 1.45 I shall be interviewing Nathan Shepherdson about his book what marian drew never told me about light  (published by Small Change Press - www.smallchangepress.com.au)

Poem accepted by Notata

The first edition of new online journal Notata will go live April 2009.  I have had a poem accepted for this.  www.notata.net.  This is an outstanding journal, with a great combination of poetry, letters, music and short stories.

Paradise Anthology - poem accepted

The final of the Poetry Idol competition takes place as part of the Melbourne Writer's Festival every year.  I was not successful in the heats but did have a poem accepted for the 2008 Paradise Anthology.  The launch of the Anthology is during the first heat of Poetry Idol 2009.  Come and hear me read and buy the book! 1 February 2009 St Kilda Library.  See http://www.paradiseanthology.com/

31st Anglo-French Poetry Festival October 8- 12 2008

As part of this festival I will be performing a piece on Saturday 11 October from 1pm at Glenfern the APC Centre - 417 Inkerman Road, East St Kilda.  The poem and translation should be placed on the webstie www.festrad.com later this year.

This is a free festival with a range of events and venues.

St Kilda Music and Poetry Gig October 5 2008

I shall be reading at the St Kilda gig at Eco House on Sunday October 5th 2008.  The Eco House is in the Botanical Gardens Blessington St St Kilda.  Gig starts at 3.15 for 3.30 and the wonderful Jordie Albiston is the main feature talking about Emily Dickinson and reading some of her own work. 

 

House of the Tragic Poet - Melbourne Writers' Festival Sunday August 31 2008

I shall be lodged in the Australian Poetry Centre's 'House of the Tragic Poet'  from 1-2 pm Sunday August 3.  This is part of the Melbourne Writers' Festival - come and visit!

Emerging Writers Festival 10 - 11 May 2008

I'm performing in Scrabble at BMW Edge theatre in Federation Square on Saturday 10 May.  This event sees performers of all types presenting works inspired by Paul Kelly.   The event begins at 7.30pm.  Tickets are $10.

I will also be speaking on a panel at the festival on Sunday 11 May at 10 am.  The topic is  Everyone wants to hear what I've got to say...
